What you will do

The purpose is to lead the execution of the business strategy and to drive the performance of the retail network in your market for Mack Trucks, Inc. This role is responsible for the management of total brand portfolio to optimize the product offerings and services to our customer base to deliver customer satisfaction, sustainable profitability, and growth.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Translate Sales Area Business Strategies to adjust key focus areas for local markets requirements. Develop clear actions plans and tools to support an effective and efficient function.
  • Establish and implement KPI’s to monitor performance and provide reporting analysis upon request.
  • Maintains reporting systems as required by Volvo AB.
  • Ensure that the market is properly resourced in all aspects and that it has the capacity, commitment and competence to achieve today and future business needs.
  • Hold responsibility for the P&L in the market, including balance sheet responsibility and securing on time & accurate financial reporting is in place to adhere to policies and procedures as established by finance.
  • Actively develop and drive actions to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and develop own department and use resources efficiently through a leadership driven by Volvo values. Motivating, developing and encouraging excellent performance to drive profitability.
  • Develops merchandising strategies and assists in creating effective, cost-efficient advertising programs in coordination with global brands.
  • Develops and partners with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel.
  • Be an inclusive and inspiring leader and act as a role model. To provide effective leadership, coordination and general direction in accordance with The Volvo Way and promote the Company’s Mission, and Vision.

Who are you?

Minimum Education and Experience: 

  • Hold a university degree and/or equivalent qualification (preferable in Business Management).
  • Formal training in leadership, communication and people skills would be valuable.
  • Demonstrate a high level of competence in each of the Volvo Leadership competencies.
  • Has a minimum 10 years of senior line management experience.
  • Experience from managing joint non-customer facing activities.
  • Good understanding of the retail business and environment and within the area of commercial vehicles.
  • Able to demonstrate a clear vision, global mind set and successful people and culture leadership.
  • Fluent in English
  • Past experience in either Commercial Sales, Aftermarket, or Retail Development
