Senior IT Project Manager to manage a global payments solutions project - 99298

Contract Duration: 12 months

Work Location: Toronto

Remote/Hybrid: Tues, Weds, Thurs in office

Schedule Hours: 40 hrs/ week. Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm

Line of Business: ASG TECHNOLOGY - Alternate solutions group with Capital Markets - focused on payment related projects

Job Description:

• End-to-End Project Delivery: Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple projects across Capital Markets, FX, and Payments domains.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior business leaders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
• Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring cost control and ROI realization.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and issues; develop mitigation plans and drive resolution.
• Process Excellence: Implement and refine project management best practices to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality delivery.
• Regulatory & Compliance Awareness: Ensure project alignment with industry regulations and internal compliance standards.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior project managers, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

Must haves:

• Minimum 10 years of previous experience as an IT PM - preferred banking background
• MS Project/Microsoft PowerPoint
• Jira/ Confluence
• Previous Stakeholder management experience
• Experience with Release planning
• Solid financial acumen with experience in managing project budgets exceeding $5M.
• Experience with Azure (completed 2-3 migration projects) - 3+ years

Nice to have:

• Capital Markets products,
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred
• FX trading processes and Payments
