Our GTA based, Municipal Government client is looking for a Senior HTML, CSS, JavaScript developer to create a program to replace an Access application.


ROLE:


Our Client is looking for an experienced and motivated Sr. Developer (Front-End/Server side) for Web-based Inventory Project to support Client's team/stakeholders using their skills and expertise to contribute to project delivery in fast-paced environment.


The project goal is to replace a legacy MS Access Database application, move data and provide enhanced functional capabilities and interfaces for authorized

users to store and manage data related to Traffic Calming Policy and Traffic Calming Feasibility studies. Traffic Calming is intended to slow motor vehicles to appropriate

speeds, increase safety for people walking, cycling, and rolling and improve the quality of life for residents on neighbourhood streets.


Duties:

The Sr. Developer will work with the team(s) to implement new solutions and enhance MVP using SDLC /Agile/Hybrid methodologies and be answerable as per

following:

1. Modernizing TS Web-based Inventory Application using a more sustainable web-based platform, providing user-friendly interfaces for data entry and validation

supported by an enhanced data model, eliminating data errors and duplications,

2. End-to-end business process review resulting in proposed target-state to support technology enhancements,

3. Improving search capability and reporting/extracting functions for regular users,

4. Automate data extraction of reports (while also allowing for on-demand report generation) for distribution,

5. Implementing interface for spatial data representation when integrating with enterprise systems such as Geospatial Information System

(GIS/ArcGIS platform),

6. Having scalable, stable, and secure technological infrastructure components,


MUST HAVE:


University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related technical discipline, AND 7+ years of experience working on medium-scale information technology projects

7+ years extensive experience working independently on application design, development, architecture and integration as well as creating and managing architecture diagrams, technical documents, risk assessment, digital accessibility compliance, and QA/UAT feedback.

7+ years extensive experience in developing Single Page Application development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, and

frameworks such as Backbone, React as well as API integration with REST (JSON, XML) APIs.

5+ years extensive experience in root cause analysis during unanticipated outages by providing troubleshooting and debugging recommendations

and support.

5+ years working experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards and/or best practices (WCAG 2.x AA, WAI-ARIA)

while optimizing accessibility features of the platform (Web, iOS, Android).

Experience in a government/public sector setting on modernization and replacement legacy system projects.
