Project Manager leading software delivery and process optimization initiatives

Our pension plan client is seeking a Project Manager (6-Month Contract, 5+ years) to lead software delivery and process optimization initiatives

Join a high-impact team within a major pension organization delivering a portfolio of technology-enabled business transformation projects. This position oversees end-to-end project management of multiple concurrent software builds, process optimization programs, and platform enhancements supporting investment and operations delivery. The role offers visibility with leadership, regular presentations to partners, and hands-on involvement in internal product and data initiatives. The engagement ensures alignment, governance, and execution excellence across fast-moving strategic priorities.

6 months Contract, Toronto, Hybrid - 2 days onsite

Working Hours: 37.5 / week EST

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution across multiple software delivery and optimization streams
• Manage project schedules, budgets, milestones, and progress tracking
• Collaborate with data and technology teams on internal builds and vendor-platform deliverables
• Oversee reporting cycles, scorecard progress updates, and presentation materials for leadership reviews
• Identify and mitigate operational risks impacting project delivery
• Ensure governance and consistency across initiatives through structured tracking and documentation
• Support a junior project manager and foster collaboration across internal partners

Must Haves

• 5+ years in project management delivering software builds and process optimization initiatives
• Background in technical delivery or prior experience as a business analyst or developer
• Proven ability managing concurrent workstreams across cross-functional teams and reporting cycles
• Experience with Power BI and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
• Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, or a related field

• Experience in capital markets, investments, or pension services
• Exposure to risk reporting and metrics initiatives
