Location Address: Scarbrough - (Hybrid) 2 days in office

Contract Duration: ASAP - Oct 31st

Possibility of extension: Yes

Conversion to FTE: Yes

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday


Pay Rate: 43-52/Hr


Story Behind the Need - Issue Management & Remediation Coordination (Threat Emulation and Design Team)

Manage and execute simulation exercises, including offensive security testing and assessments

This role supports a red teaming and threat modelling program by helping build and run a consistent issue management process, coordinating remediation follow-up, and improving reporting and visibility through standardized data and program metrics.

Typical Day in Role:

• Coordinate remediation follow-up for identified issues (e.g., tracking owners, due dates, and status updates).

• Standardize issue data to enable consistent reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis.

• Support improvements to program metrics (e.g., KPIs/KRIs) to increase visibility into program health and outcomes.

• Support improvement and standardization of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to issue intake, triage, tracking, and closure.

• Coordinate stakeholders and communicate status, risks, and follow-ups across technical and non-technical audiences.


Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 5 years of experience in project coordinator roles in FI.

If the candidate has coordination experience with offensive security concepts and practices (ideally red teaming and/or penetration testing), including what they are and why they are performed, is a strong asset as this is what the manager is looking for.


Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Understanding of: Cyber kill chain, MITRE ATT&CK framework

• Experience in IT project coordination.

• Familiarity with project management and ticketing software.

• Certifications (nice, not required): Security+, GSLC, GISF, CISSP

• Tools / Tech (nice, not required): Jira / ticketing systems, ServiceNow, Power BI


Soft Skills Required:

Excellent communication skills

Stakeholder management,

Ability to translate technical findings into a business context

Project coordinator experience


Best VS. Average Candidate:

The best candidate is someone with coordination experience and Cybersecurity exposure.

The team is not looking for an operator, hands-on or technical. The focus is on coordination + improving how the team operates. ******Looking for a coordinator, not a tester*****


Education & Certificates:

• Post-Secondary Education is required but would be preferred in a related field
