Job Description: Position Title: Accessibility Consultant - Technical Analyst

Line of Business: EDA (Enterprise Digital Accessibility) team

Duration: 8 months

Remote/Hybrid: hybrid, every Wednesday and 3rd Friday of month

Office Location: 81 Bay 16th Floor

What project will this contractor be working on? Various projects supporting Digital Teams

Selling points of the positions: high chances of extension, opportunity to deepen accessibility skills collaborating with learn experienced team, high visibility role

Best vs average candidate: depth of accessibility testing skills particularly with NVDA / JAWS, providing remediation advice to Design / Dev, strong team player, strong desire to learn, familiarity with aXe, JIRA, Figma

Must Have Requirement:

1. Manual testing skills to WCAG 2.1 A-AA including keyboard, browser zoom, NVDA, JAWS, colour contrast analyzer and visual inspections - 3 years

2. Communicate the user impact of a specific issue / WCAG criteria - 3 years

3. Strong communication skills

4. Team Player

5. Able to support multiple projects

6. JIRA

Nice to Have:

1. Analysis of automated issues to ensure no false positives

2. Deque tools

3. Design reviews in Figma

4. Remediation support for Devs within HTML / CSS / JavaScript to address open accessibility issues

5. Dev skills building non-accessible code and accessible code

6. Experience analyzing VPAT or ACR reports
