Description
Role Overview
A major Canadian bank is executing a large-scale Wealth Platform Transformation, migrating from one vendor to a new strategic vendor. The Convert & Migrate team is responsible for the end-to-end migration of client accounts, holdings, transactions, tax data, and advisor books of record. The Delivery Lead will serve as the senior subject matter expert and primary delivery owner for this migration stream - bridging business, technology, data, and vendor teams to ensure the program is executed on time, within scope, and with zero compromise to data integrity or client experience.
Data Migration & Governance
Define and enforce data migration governance standards - data quality rules, lineage validation, reconciliation thresholds, and exception handling processes.
Oversee source-to-target data mapping from vendor and other upstream systems into the target platform.
Manage critical data elements (CDEs) for accounts, positions, transactions, and tax data; ensure accuracy of all migrated datasets.
Lead data profiling, gap analysis, and data cleansing activities in collaboration with data engineering and operations teams.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary liaison between the bank and external vendors.
Manage vendor deliverables, SLAs, escalation paths, and contractual obligations across the migration lifecycle.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Wealth Operations, Finance, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Advisor communities.
Prepare and present executive-level status reporting, escalation briefings, and milestone dashboards to senior program sponsors.
SIT / UAT Management
Lead SIT and UAT planning, coordination, and execution for the Convert & Migrate stream.
Define test strategy, entry/exit criteria, test scope, and defect triage governance for migration validation cycles.
Collaborate with QA leads, operations SMEs, and vendor teams to validate end-to-end data flows, account integrity, and reporting accuracy.
Provide Go-Live approval authority (BAT/UAT sign-off) for migration readiness checkpoints.
Risk, Issues & Change Management
Proactively identify, document, and escalate delivery risks and issues; drive resolution across business and technology stakeholders.
Manage the change control process for scope changes impacting migration timelines, data structures, or vendor interfaces.
Maintain issues logs, RAID registers, and decision logs with appropriate audit trails for regulatory review readiness.

Deep understanding of wealth and investment operations: client accounts, advisor books of record, holdings, transactions, tax lots, NAV, and fund accounting.
Familiarity with Canadian regulatory frameworks applicable to wealth management (CIRO/IIROC, OSFI, CSA, FATCA/AML).
Technical & Data Background
Strong data background: hands-on experience with data mapping, data lineage, ETL processes, data quality governance, and reconciliation frameworks.
Proficiency with SQL for data analysis, root cause investigation, and validation of migration datasets.
Experience with data lake, data warehouse, and data repository environments (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop/HDFS).
Ability to reverse-engineer data flows and perform gap analysis across complex source and target system landscapes.
