Duration: 1 year

Extension possible: Possibility to extend for 6 months if the person going on maternity leave takes the extra 6 months

Work Location: Onsite - 2 days currently, 4 days starting November 3rd; Toronto, ON

Scope of Project: Supporting 3 pods (developing software solutions, PI planning)

Team Size/Culture: 6 team members per pod, very collaborative and positive work environment

Training Period: 1 month

Selling Points of Position (CVP): Gaining experience with large enterprise solutions, gaining knowledge of the wealth space

SUMMARY OF DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Lead and guide the team through daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and time-boxed.

• Remove impediments: Proactively identify and eliminate obstacles, conflicts, and issues that hinder the team's progress, coordinating with external groups or stakeholders as needed.

• Coach and mentor: Guide the team in adopting and practicing Agile principles and Scrum values, helping them develop self-management and continuous improvement skills.

• Shield the team: Protect the team from external interference and distractions to allow them to focus on delivering value during the sprint.

• Foster collaboration: Promote effective communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders, ensuring a healthy and productive environment.

• Promote transparency: Encourage the team to track relevant metrics and make informed decisions to improve their processes.

Additionally, the following items.

• Leading PI Planning for the teams.

• Keeping teams and partners on track during execution.

• Coaching Agile Teams.

• Improving workflow between teams.

• Driving improvements in the teams.

• Managing alignment between the business and various partner groups.

MUST-HAVE Hard Skills:

1.) Risk, impediment and dependency management

2.) CSM certification (any scrum master cert works)

3.) Program Increment planning - quarterly planning etc.


NICE-TO-HAVE

1.) Scaled Agile certification

2.) Banking or financial institution experience

3.) Release Train Engineer experience (knowledge)

4.) Project Management experience
