Our client, a leading insurance brokerage in Toronto, is actively seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager with specialized expertise in construction risks. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic team and manage a high-value book of construction-focused clients while driving business growth and retention in this specialized and lucrative market segment.

Compensation

  • Base salary in the range of $75,000 to $120,000 commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture a portfolio of construction-focused commercial clients, ensuring retention and satisfaction
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for construction companies and recommend tailored insurance solutions
  • Develop construction-specific account plans to identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Prepare detailed quotes and coverage recommendations for construction risks, including specialized programs
  • Negotiate coverage terms with underwriters
  • Handle policy renewals, endorsements, and claims support with efficiency and professionalism
  • Stay current on construction industry trends, emerging risks, and market developments

Qualifications

  • Valid RIBO License (CAIB/CIP/CRM are nice to have)
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Commercial Account Manager with an exclusive focus on Construction risks
  • Solid understanding of carrier/MGA guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
