WORK YOU’LL DO
As a Cloud Platform Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying cloud application solutions that integrate cloud and non-cloud infrastructure. You will deploy infrastructure and platform environments, create proof of architecture to test architecture viability, security, and performance. You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively. You will be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions while providing solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement self-optimizing and self-healing cloud architectures using Azure native capabilities, GitHub Actions, and automation tools.
- Build intelligent automation pipelines (e.g., anomaly detection, incident prevention, cost optimization) leveraging AI and workflow engines such as n8n or Logic Apps.
- Prototype and deploy AI-assisted cloud management tools and agents that predict and respond to system changes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed automation, AI, and DevSecOps practices into release management and operations.
- Conduct regular assessments of cloud infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
- Mentor junior team members to foster a culture of learning and development.
- The role is required to work onsite typically 3 days a week
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or in a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing/designing cloud PaaS & IaaS components
- Experienced in Azure (PaaS/IaaS), GitHub Actions, and Terraform - but constantly exploring new automation frameworks.
- Curious about AI integration with cloud - from predictive scaling to automated remediation.
- Comfortable in fast-paced release cycles and enterprise hybrid environments.
- Strong communicator who translates experimentation into value for delivery teams.
- Strong coordination and communication skills, including verbal and written updates to technical stakeholders
- Ability to understand how infrastructure supports deployments, even when application code is managed by another team
- Exposure to blue/green or canary deployments
- Experience working in enterprise environments that blend modern cloud and legacy systems
- Certification: AZ-204: Azure Developer Associate
NICE TO HAVE:
- Certifications: AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator, AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
- Skills in automation and AI related to cloud infrastructure
