The Surveyor will be responsible for coordinating and laying out various aspects of construction projects with a high level of accuracy, ensuring the design criteria is adhered to and well documented. What You'll Do Here: Managing all aspects of survey projects including price estimates, cost-tracking, client communication, resource scheduling, invoicing, and on-time deliver Acting as Project Manager on a variety of projects within various survey knowledge areas Performing and reviewing survey calculations Identifying survey methods and approaches for field and drafting personnel Ensuring quality control measures are applied and documented Ensuring that all products adhere to the applicable Federal, Provincial, Municipal, and City regulations Reviewing project deliverables prior to client release Engaging with the Registry Office to ensure the seamless registration or deposit of plans Communicating effectively with management on project status Mentoring and training all levels of the team to aid development and succession planning Meeting/exceeding all AOLS Continual Professional Development (CPD) requirements What You Bring to the Team: A licensed Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS) Post-secondary education in Surveying, Geomatics or Civil Engineering Has 5-10 years working experience as an OLS Is a member in good standing with the Association for Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS) Is highly proficient in cadastral and engineering surveying methodologies Has excellent communication and project management skills Has a strong working knowledge of CAD and other relevant surveying software Understands the limitations and use of standard surveying equipment Knowledge of survey practices and standards Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of office, data, surveying, and engineering-based software Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills Knowledge of engineering design and survey methods Metrolinx and large Infrastructure experience Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to lift 50lbs Available to travel to various projects Drivers license (Class G), Drivers Abstract required Aecon has every intention of fostering diversity within and across our organization.
