Our public sector client is seeking a Intermediate Java (Spring) and JavaScript (React/Angular) Developer to provide support for a web-based payment application system

Candidates must be local to Calgary. Hybrid work model (Candidates will work from home the majority of the time - no set days for in-office work). 37.5 hour work week.

Must haves

• 3+ years of software development and support experience with Java (Spring) and JavaScript (React or Angular).
• 3+ years of experience with User Interface/User Experience (UX/UI) design
• 3+ years of experience with report generation in Oracle or PostgresSQL

Nice to haves:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Sound customer service skill set.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with team members to organize resolution of application incidents.

• Balance scheduled and unscheduled requests based on priority, impact, and value to the business.

• Provide clear support documentation for all applications.

• Plan, test, and implement system upgrades and troubleshoot integration points with other systems.

• Plan and schedule regular maintenance tasks, perform overall health checks of the systems and perform root cause analysis.
