Celebrate Official Languages Day 2026
Today marks the anniversary of the Official Languages Act, which recognizes English and French as Canada’s official languages and ensures services are available in both languages.
Celebrated annually on the second Thursday of September, Official Languages Day is a meaningful opportunity to promote French and English and to celebrate Canada’s rich linguistic heritage.
At CFMWS, bilingualism helps us connect, serve, and support communities across Canada.
