Location: Yellowknife, Northwest Territories
Position Type: Contract / Part-Time (Based on module delivery schedule)
Reports To: Program Coordinator –NWT Career Centre

Compensation based on experience and number of modules delivered.

The Instructor will deliver Microsoft 365 training modules within the 12-week accredited Administrative Skills Building (ASB) Program, equipping participants with practical digital and administrative skills essential for today’s workplace. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Microsoft 365 applications, experience teaching adult learners, and the ability to adapt content for diverse learning needs across the Northwest Territories.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Microsoft 365 modules, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Copilot.
  • Provide practical exercises to reinforce learning outcomes, ensuring participants can confidently use these tools in a workplace setting.
  • Adapt teaching strategies for diverse learning styles and literacy levels.
  • Monitor learner progress, maintain attendance, and provide completion reports to the Program Coordinator.
  • Recommend updates or enhancements to training materials based on participant feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma, degree, or professional certification in Information Technology, Education, or related field. Microsoft Certified Instructor credential is an asset
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365 tools
  • Experience delivering IT or digital literacy training to adult learners preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create inclusive and accessible learning environments.
  • Time management and classroom management skills.
  • Bilingual delivery (English/French) is a strong asset.
