E-Commerce Marketplace Specialist - New Position

What to expect in this new role:

Support eCommerce Lead to deliver ambitious eCommerce roadmap. Responsible for following plan and executing strategy for eCommerce Marketplaces around the globe such as Amazon, Mercado Libre, Lazada, etc. (excluding Canada and the US), and manage day-to-day 1P and 3P relationships. The role works across technology, supply chain and brand set-up teams to ensure the end-to-end operations of all channels.

Here is an overview of your tasks:

  • Support back-end and front-end activities leading to brand and market launches;
  • Contribute to the planning and own the execution of promotional and marketing plans;
  • Liaise with direct and indirect teams to review and align marketing efforts and trading calendars;
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with distributors, agencies, and brand owners;
  • Monitor competition on marketplaces to timely detect trends, opportunities, and risks;
  • Conduct promotional and marketing post-mortem analyses;
  • Ensure marketplace presence (PDPs, brand stores, etc) meet best practice standards;
  • Support D2C marketplace initiatives;
  • Build bridges with key stakeholders such as brand owners, supply chain, and commercial teams to deliver roadmap within the trifecta of project management (i.e. on time, on scope, on budget).


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing (preferred);
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a corporate environment (CPG preferred);
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with ecommerce background (marketplace or D2C) or similar position;
  • Digital Marketing experience (asset);
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams;
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects to time and budget with accuracy;
  • Understanding of the processes and drivers behind e-commerce marketplaces;
  • Creative, analytical problem problem solver, process information, provide recommendation as well as implement project driven solutions;
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced organization;
  • Highly organized and motivated;
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines;
  • Experience in leading & rallying cross functional teams as well as outside resources around share goals.
