Role Overview

The Manager, FP&A Network & IT is responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for Xplore's Network and IT organizations. This role partners closely with Network and IT leadership to support both day-to-day execution and longer-term investment, capacity planning across capital and technology intensive portfolios.

The Manager will own core elements of budget management, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling, while providing forward-looking insights that improve decision-making, transparency and accountability. This role plays a key leadership position within FP&A, balancing hands-on analytical work with oversight, coaching, and cross-functional influence.     

As Xplore continues to expand and modernize its network and technology platforms, this role helps ensure strong financial discipline and alignment between operational activity, investment decisions, and financial outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the development of Network and IT OPEX and CAPEX budgets, forecasts, and outlooks
  • Own key financial models, assumptions, and forcast drivers across Network and IT portfolios
  • Perform and review scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess impacts of changes in scope, timing, technology, or cost assumptions
  • Ensure forecasts reflect the latest operational, program, project and IT roadmap information

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Oversee monthly variance analysis, identifying key drivers versus budget and forecast
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and timely financial reporting for FP&A, Network and IT leadership
  • Ensure reconciliation of actuals, accruals, and forecasts, maintaining high data quality and consistency
  • Help maintain a single source of truth for financial data, metrics, and reporting across Network and IT

Business Partnership & Collaboration

  • Act as finance partner to Network and IT teams, including Engineering, Construction, Operations, Program Management, and IT leadership
  • Support business cases, investment analysis, and prioritization decisions for Network and IT initiatives 
  • Provide financial insight and guidance to support trade-off discussions and decision making
  • Respond to ad‑hoc analysis requests with focus on clarity, accuracy and impact

Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Provide day-to-day guidance, review and support for FP&A analysts within scope
  • Support improvements to forecasting, reporting, and planning processes across Network and IT
  • Drive standardization, improved tools, and reduced manual effort where possible
  • Contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement within the FP&A function

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience supporting CAPEX or project‑based, or technology-driven financial analysis
  • Exposure to enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP or similar)
  • CPA, CFA, or other finance designation (completed or in progress) considered an asset
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across technical and operational teams
  • Comfort working with evolving assumptions and incomplete information
  • Strong ownership mindset for deliverables, data quality, and outcomes
