Position Overview

Reporting directly to the President and CEO, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, and as a member of the Executive Team, the Regional Lead Acute Health Services is responsible for the leadership and oversight of operations for hospitals and the Centralized Operations Units for the portfolio. The Regional Lead Acute Health Services also is responsible for advancing partnerships with health care organizations - a key component in advancing health care delivery within the region. As Regional Lead Acute Health Services, the role also provides leadership and strategic thinking on Nursing and Health Professional issues within the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Experience
  • Fifteen years with significant senior level experience in the management of health services delivery.
  • Recent experience with Program Management in a large region preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Masters Degree in Nursing, or related area required.
  • PhD an asset.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Registered Nurse eligible for Manitoba Registration.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and lead strategic change.
  • High-level communication, interpersonal, and interprofessional skills.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
