Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Manager, the incumbent:

  • Assists in the organization and coordination of the workflow to ensure efficient utilization of resources, and carries out day-to-day management in the absence of the Manager.
  • Carries out assigned cleaning functions.
Experience
  • At least three years cleaning experience in a hospital environment required. Two years of lead hand experience as recognized by the Centre preferably in a hospital environment.
  • Knowledge and experience using the Total Maintenance Authority (TMA)/Software/System preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards required.
  • Completion of a University certificate course in the Management of Cleaning and Environmental Services preferred.
  • Completion of recognized course in management and supervision an asset.
  • Oculys (Bed/Patient Flow management system) preferred.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Must be self-motivated, with an aptitude for customer service.
  • Must possess good analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
Physical Requirements
  • Manual dexterity required.
  • Position requires walking, bending, stretching, and lifting/carrying/moving/pushing moderately heavy weights.
  • Exposure to chemical substances, moisture, odour, vibration grime, dust, grime and noise may occur.
  • Some outdoor work may be required.
  • Compliance with workplace safety precautions required.
