Position Overview

Responsible for the effective and efficient provision of administrative duties and secretarial support to the Chief Nursing Officer and all management staff within the Nursing Portfolio.

Experience
  • Three to five (3-5) years in a senior secretarial/administrative assistant position, preferably in the health care field.
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating meetings required.
  • Experience with email and computerized calendar management required.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately record, transcribe and produce formal minutes and prepare agendas.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is considered an asset.
  • SAP Timekeeping/Requisitioning is considered an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Completed high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
    Certificate or diploma from a recognized business administration program; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs with advanced skills in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Intranet and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage A/V equipment and set up.
  • Typing speed of >65 wpm.

  • Physical health to meet the requirements of the position.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
