Applicants will be considered in the following order:
1) Qualified permanent ESS/OSSTF Bargaining Unit employees.
2) Qualified probationary, temporary and Temporary Hourly Rated (THR) ESS/OSSTF employees.
3) Qualified external applicants (includes employees from other Bargaining Units)
Reporting to the Rosemount FOS Administrative staff, site supervisor and indirectly to the Assistant Office Supervisor of Adult and Continuing Education, the successful candidate will support the activities of the International and Indigenous Languages program.The successful applicant for this Educational Support Staff position Level C, will work Saturday mornings, from September 2025 through June 2026 for 5 hours per week. Location to be determined and contingent upon confirmation of program. Please note employee will not be paid for Saturdays when the program is not running.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance to the IILP program;
- Interact positively with students, staff and community;
- Assist with International Languages registrations;
- Process class attendance and enter attendance;
- Perform computer functions in Aspen, including maintenance of student scheduling, registration and retiring students;
- Establish and maintain attendance registers;
- Maintain inventory and supplies for the IILP site and staff;
- Assist with room bookings for teaching assignments; and
- Other duties as assigned.
- Secondary School Diploma is required;
- Working knowledge of: MS Word, Excel and Google Apps for Education (GAFE);
- Experience using Aspen Student Information System;
- Possess excellent multi-tasking skills and problem solving skills;
- Previous work experience in an Elementary School setting would be helpful;
- preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Adult and Continuing Education programs.
