Resident Support Aide (Summer Position)

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Resident Care Manager, the Resident Support Aide supports residents in their daily routines and contributes to maintaining a safe and welcoming living environment. This role focuses on non-clinical support and complements the work of the nursing and caregiver teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support residents with comfort, safety, and general well-being
- Assist with activities of daily living while respecting resident autonomy
- Assist residents during mealtimes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment
- Observe and report any changes in resident behaviour or condition
- Foster respectful and positive relationships with residents
- Support simple, non-clinical activities
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Interest in healthcare, caregiving, or working with seniors
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Empathy, patience, and reliability
- Experience in a care environment is an asset
- CPR, First Aid, or PDSP certification is an asset
- Good communication skills in French and English are required. (Knowledge of English is necessary in order to meet the needs of a predominantly English-speaking clientele.)
