The Fundraising and Sales Intern will aid the Grace Village Care Foundation in their fundraising efforts, in the form of soliciting donations & sponsorships, planning/coordinating fundraising events, creating captivating promotional material for the GVCF and their fundraising arm, Boutique Encore, as well as serving customers from our local community.
Responsibilities
- Creating captivating promotional material for both the GVCF and its fundraising arm, Boutique Encore.
- Aid in the planning & coordination of various fundraising (sales) events throughout the summer.
- Soliciting donations / sponsorships from local businesses & community members.
- Managing teams of volunteers & ensuring the smooth operation of events / activities.
- Managing social media channels and maintaining a regular posting schedule (Facebook, Instagram)
- Taking photos / videos of various resident activities & external events.
- Responding to customer / donor inquiries via our online channels (FB, IG, Website, Donor Software)
Requirements
- DEC or College diploma in Marketing, Communications, Sales or similar degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc).
- Experience in customer service and/or sales experience.
- Bilingual – English & French written / oral skills.
- Experience in Content Creation software (Canva, Publisher, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
- Experience in event planning / coordinating is a plus
