Summary
As an integral part of the management team, the role of the financial controller is to manage all the financial aspects of the company and contribute to its healthy growth. The financial controller also assumes the support and management of the team of office employees.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the accuracy of the monthly financial statements
- Preparation of year-end documents
- Preparation of the annual financial budget and its quarterly update
- Development, implementation, training and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Support in the establishment of the costing and selling prices of the products
- Development and maintenance of the standard cost of products in the system
- Maintaining standard labor costs and manufacturing overhead by department and ensuring the accuracy of costs in the system
- Preparation of various reports and analysis
- Supervision and support of the team of office employees (purchasing, customer service, orders, accounting)
- Perform recruitment, provide ongoing training and promote the growth of its team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA accounting title (asset)
- Experience leading people
- 5 year’s experience in a manufacturing company in a similar position
- Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written
- Strong computer skills and excellent knowledge of Excel
- Experience with ERP type management software
