Come work as a Neurosurgeon with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

The University of British Columbia and Vancouver Coastal Health invite applications for an academic neurosurgeon to join the Division of Neurosurgery at Vancouver General Hospital, with a Clinical Faculty appointment in the UBC Department of Surgery. The individual we seek will have advanced training and skills in cerebrovascular neurosurgery and endovascular neurosurgery/interventional neuroradiology. This will include the management and surgical care of patients with cerebrovascular disorders including intracranial aneurysms and subarachnoid hemorrhage, vascular malformations and stroke. The successful candidate will join the existing multidisciplinary cerebrovascular neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology team and compliment the program. Candidates must hold certification in Neurosurgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and be eligible for licensure by the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) - Desired
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Provisional
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) - Mandatory
  • Surgical Skills - Mandatory
  • Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in neurosurgery training, clinical service and scholarship.

Remuneration and rank as a member of the Clinical Faculty are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
