Employment Terms: Full-Time, 2-Year ContractStart date: August 2024End date: June 2026The UCC Science Teaching Intern position will provide differentiated classroom support, co-teaching, individual & small group instruction in Y6 to Year 7 classrooms. You may also provide supply coverage to Prep teachers. A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students is essential, as is a willingness to participate in the full co-curricular program of the school, including athletic coaching and/or co-curriculars.We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, curious and flexible teaching intern for our Prep School Science department. Co Curricular duties are also included in this position (e.g Eco warriors Club and coaching).Key Responsibilities & Tasks Academic Support student learning through individual, small group &whole class instruction as needed;Support classroom management and student social emotional needs;Collaboratively plan with teachers;Support student learning through operational tasks such as:marking, preparing materials, displays, organizing materials;Participate in faculty and collaborative team meetings, assemblies and various professional development opportunities.Curricular, Coaching, Supervisory Lead with skill, passion and enthusiasm within our co-curricular program, including the arts, coaching and intramural games;Lead the Eco warriors Club;Supervision duty as assigned;UCC students benefit from a robust co-curricular program including athletics. Many teams have the opportunity to participate in weekend and CAIS tournaments.
