Duties and Responsibilities

Student Wellness Services comprises several departments working together to facilitate the development of student well-being and providing support to assist in the success in their academic careers. Reporting to the Manager of Wellness Education & Promotion the incumbent will collaborate and work closely with the Wellness Education & Promotion Centre’s team and other on and off campus stakeholders to coordinate the development of training and educational programs in the area of substance use education for post-secondary students.


Working from a harm-reduction framework through collaboration within a multi-disciplinary committee, the incumbent will design and evaluate educational programs that address substance use health with an emphasis on responsible cannabis and polysubstance use.


Requirements

  • 2-3 years of post-secondary education, with experience in health promotion communications and knowledge mobilization.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills; written, oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to work and communicate effectively with various stakeholders including students.
  • Strong research, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience with project development and coordination.
