Position Summary

As a member of the Strategic Sourcing Team within the UHN Procurement and Supply Chain Department, the Sourcing Associate reports to a Senior Manager of Sourcing and will work along side the Strategic Sourcing Specialists to support the team in all sourcing events. The Sourcing Associate is responsible for managing and coordinating sourcing activities for assigned categories of goods and services in compliance with regulations and aligned to the goals and objectives of UHN and its stakeholders. This position is being recruited to support the Science and Research Program of UHN.

Ideal candidates are able to demonstrate an ethical, professional, and accountable manner as a liaison between Researchers, Suppliers and Stakeholders. The Sourcing Associate will ensure compliance with legislative and quality standards by leading and coordinating strategic sourcing, contracting and procurement activities in line with UHN Corporate Policies, the Ontario Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives (BPSPD), the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), public tendering legislation and other policies and procedures.
