Position Summary:
The Laboratory Operations Assistant is responsible for assisting with the daily operations and maintenance of the Orsino Cell Processing Laboratory (CPL) in the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. The primary responsibilities include the following duties: Assists with operational projects, product transfer and disposal, operating the controlled rate freezer, monitoring of lab environment and equipment, tanks surveillance, maintaining and cleaning of equipment, data entry and organizing documents, organizing inventory, delivery and pick up of stem cell products and patient samples and documents. Additionally, performing cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned and/or required.
