With a staff of 14,000, the TCDSB is a dynamic school board and is seeking a full-time Supervisor, Employee Benefits within the Payroll Services department.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Benefits and Compensation, this position will assume a supervisory role in the daily operation of the Board's benefit and OMERS pension administration. Flexibility and change management strategies will be key in supporting management initiatives and departmental goals.
- Assisting with the review and revision of benefit procedures and practices to ensure consistency with various collective agreement requirements in supporting provincial benefit trust arrangements
- Facilitating the daily, monthly and annual OMERS Pension Plan processes including T4 reporting
- Supervising the day to day work of departmental staff, including training and guiding related work assignments and projects
- Processing the reconciliation and remittance of monthly invoices and required payments, claims and expenses
- Preparing billings and reports for distribution to Carrier and other designated partners as required
- Assisting with the budget process by preparing OMERS and LTD plan projections and reconciliations/fiscal year end audit processes
- Managing the pre-authorized billing process for employees on leave of absence
- Generating and uploading third party administrator files for all provincial benefit trusts as scheduled
- Generating SAP reports as required
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the department needs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Three-year community college diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Relevant professional designation is an asset (CEBS/CHRL)
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a Benefits or related environment in a Supervisory capacity
- Working knowledge of benefits and pension administration and relevant legislation; OMERS experience preferred
- Excellent computer skills in MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and aptitude for technical processes
- Proven experience and knowledge of SAP HR/Payroll preferred, or other similar applications
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize daily management activities in conjunction with weekly deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
This is an exempt Level 3 position with a salary range of $85,621 - $102,747 along with comprehensive benefits including pension plan, vacation, and professional development opportunities.
