Description

The order picker prepares incoming orders accurately. He/she makes sure they are checked and ready to be dispatched according to schedule.

We are looking for a full-time order picker (daytime schedule).

What are the main tasks of the job?

• Prepare orders accurately and ensure that they are dispatched according to schedule
• Verify that products to be dispatched have been selected according to product rotation (first in, first out)
• Verify that the order is prepared according to customer specifications and is ready on time
• Relay information to the Receiving and Shipping Team Leader if there is a problem
• Apply labels to finished products or shipping boxes, wrap plastic pallets when complete, cover fragile items with bubble wrap and follow packing instructions if specified by the customer
• Contribute to HACCP and SQF regulations to ensure compliance with certifications
• Ensure that the work environment is kept clean and safe, and verify that work instruments are cleaned/cared for in good condition

Requested skills

• Experience as an order assembler/preparer in the agri-food industry (asset)
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to reproduce quality standards continuously
• Good attendance and ability to work in a team
• Ability to work physically (continuous standing work and frequent travel)
• Follow health and safety standards, food standards and quality standards
• Possession of a valid forklift operator's card is an asset
