Description
Our client is looking for a candidate to fill their Daycare Director position. This is a full-time permanent position to start as soon as possible. You will work in a creative environment with cheerful colleagues. Benefits are included.
Hours: Monday to Friday. Flexible hours.
Salary: From 75K to 90K, according to experience
Location: Île-Bizard. Parking on-site.
Located in the West of the Island of Montreal, our private subsidized daycare with 90 spots is seeking a person to fill the position of director.
This position requires an experienced and autonomous leader who demonstrates a combination of analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to establish positive and trusting relationships with staff and parents. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role. Solid previous experience in managing a daycare or CPE (Centre de la Petite Enfance) will be an asset.
Responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the shareholders and in compliance with the powers delegated to them, the director will be required to:
· Plan, organize, direct, and control all daycare activities according to principles of sound management to ensure quality educational services and efficient operation.
· Ensure efficient management of daycare human resources.
· Ensure optimal management of financial resources.
· Ensure the management of material and real estate resources.
· Information management and representation.

Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in daycare or CPE management.
· Effective Communication: Possess excellent interpersonal communication and human resource management skills.
· Strategic Vision: Possess analytical ability to anticipate and plan for changes.
· Possess a very good understanding of financial management.
· Exercise mobilizing leadership.
· Possess coaching skills.
· Foster a climate conducive to collaboration.
Requirements
· Mastery of "Le Gestionnaire" software and/or familiarity with accounting software such as Sage 50.
· Proficiency in computer skills and in both French and English languages, both oral and written.
· Knowledge of laws and regulations of the Ministry of Family and other labor relations legislation.
· Valid prevention and first aid certificate an asset.
· Management experience in a unionized workplace is an asset.
· Owning a car is an asset for commuting to work.
