With revenues of more than $24 billion and the largest investment in RD in the industry, we give our people the resources and opportunities to make significant contributions to the world.br /Location/Division Specific Informationbr /This position will be part of the IT Operations and Services team within PSG IT located at our site in Whitby, Ontariobr /How will you make an impact?br /The role will have a primary focus on local business IT/OT support with a specialized focus in support for Manufacturing systemsbr /What will you do?/pp• Manage, develop, and deploy GMP systems in both AWS and on-premise HPE Greenlake infrastructure/pp• Lead the effort in integrating new IT/OT systems to the existing manufacturing and/or corporate networks/pp• Support the management of manufacturing equipment user access through Microsoft Active Directory/pp• Assist with the troubleshooting and resolution of IT/OT related system issues in Manufacturingbr /• Assist with Mounting Un-mounting, deployment of network infrastructure in data center (Switch, Routers, Servers, etc.)br /• Responsible for the design and build for business application infrastructure on premise and in the cloudbr /• Responsible for partnering with global IT to deliver solutions for business partners that comply with global security and quality standardsbr /• Responsible for partnering with global shared services IT deskside support team to provide in-house IT support for end users, provide resolutions for user for corporate applications and hardwarebr /• Ability to work in a team structure, make decisions, solve problems, communicate inside outside the organization, and analyze, plan, organize and prioritize work.br /• Researches new infrastructure technologies and makes recommendations to management.br /• Partner with global shared services to perform environment builds using industry standard toolsbr /• Partner with Engineering and Global IT to support IIoT and Industrial cybersecuritybr /How will you get here?br /Educationbr /• Combined minimum of 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience in systems infrastructure, management and/or architecture, IT supportbr /Experiencebr /• 4 years experience in working with customers in identifying their business and technical requirements, and designing and/or implementing optimal technical solutionsbr /• Comprehensive understanding of IT processes and best practices related to infrastructure and cloud technologies/pp• Good understanding of OT systems and Pharma 4.0 best practices related to manufacturing technologiesbr /Tool Technology Skillsbr /• GMP experience and/or experience deploying, maintaining, and developing validated systems in regulated healthcare environments preferredbr /• Windows and/or Linux systems administration and/or network device managementbr /• Experience with industrial and/or lab control systems (SCADA, Historian, Chromatography, IIoT, etc)br /• Configuration Management in IT and/or industrial automation systems (CMDB, FactoryTalk AssetCentre, ClarOTy, SQL, etc)br /• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues on PC’s and 3rd party applications supported by Corporate Infrastructure and Security and engage functional teams as neededbr /• Ability to provide smart hands support and remotely direct someone providing smart hands support for computer rooms, IDF’s, MDF’s and physical equipment such as servers, switches, routers, printersbr /Knowledge, Skills, Abilitiesbr /• Dynamic, hard-working and ambitious, with excellent oral and written communication skills.br /• Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature.br /• Excellent problem-solving skills to assist in issue resolution.br /• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.br /• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs to meet business needs.br /• Must be a self-starter with high level analytical skills combined with thorough documentation abilities.br /At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
