Description
Assignment:
- Part-time 0.50 Educational Assistant position
- Duties to commence January 5, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year
- To provide support and assistance to a variety of students in a grade 4-6 classroom settings with complex needs
Qualifications and/or Assets:
- Experience working with students with complex academic and behavioral needs
- Trauma informed experience would be considered an asset
- Understanding of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit foundational knowledge
- Ability to assist with daily routines, including hygiene, toileting, and medical assistance as needed
- Experience with complex behaviors would be considered an asset
- Collaborative team player with the ability to take initiative and support a dynamic learning environment
- Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
- Knowledge, understanding and experience with ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and behavioral needs would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Flexibility in assigned duties, including personal hygiene and toileting
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented collaborative learning environment
- Flexibility to work in a variety of programs
