Description
Assignment:
- Part-time 0.70 FTE Educational Assistant position
- Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year
- To provide support and assistance to students with complex needs, which could include ASD, ADHD, and social/emotional/behavioural and academic needs in a junior high classroom setting
Qualifications and/or Assets:
- Highly skilled and experienced working with students with severe complex needs
- Experience in Literacy and Numeracy programming
- Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant
- Skills, patience, and experience supporting students with complex learning and behavioural needs.
- Knowledge, understanding, and experience with ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training would be considered an asset
- Experience and/or training in a Junior High School setting
- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment
- Flexibility to work in a variety of programs
