Assignment:
Part-time 1.0 FTE Educational Assistant position
Duties to commence August 28, 2024
To provide support and assistance to the teacher in a multi grade classroom setting containing grades K-9 by reinforcing the skills taught and guiding students in small groups.
Qualifications and/or Assets:
Experience in multi-graded classrooms
Experience in a colony school environment would be considered an asset
Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment
Ability to work with multiple students to support learning
Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
Calm and patient approach to solving problems
Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-orientated environment
Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant
Experience working with young ELA learners would be considered an asset
