Assignment:
Full-time 1.0 FTE probationary teaching position
Course load to include:
Mechanics 10, 20, and 30
Construction 10, 20, and 30
Junior High Ctf options
Other courses possible, defendant on the successful candidate's strengths and qualifications
Duties to commence August 28, 2024 and will continue for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year
Qualifications:
Journeyman Mechanic or Carpenter
Experience teaching in relevant courses as mentioned above would be considered an asset
Ability to utilize varied instructional strategies and to differentiate in order to meet a wide range of individual needs
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
Willingness to work in an active, team-oriented learning environment and be a positive team member
Ability to teach in a flexible learning environment
Passionate about teaching and ensuring belief in every student
Ability to effectively integrate technology and an understanding of 21st Century Learning Skills
Assessment literate
An understanding of High School Redesign Principals, the Collaborative Response Model, and Differentiation would be considered an asset
Strong planning and organizational skills
Effective classroom management
Commitment to ongoing professional growth
Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities.
