Job Description:
Enterprise Analytics is an innovative and strategic asset to one of Ontario's largest community hospitals. We act as trusted advisors to healthcare leaders and focus on providing them the analytical tools and deep insights that help them make important decisions. Requirements:
Here’s what you will need
· Analytical technical skills, including handling data imports, complex data linking, dealing with data imperfections, and the ability to create visual summaries.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create and derive meaning from data. The ability to use data and information to ‘tell the story’. The ability to think about 'the why' behind the question that is being asked.
· A proven self-starter, who has no limits in their ability to learn new tools.
· Pride in doing great work, a mindset of taking things to the finish line, and attention to detail.
· Experience in standard data and reporting tools such as SQL Server and SSRS, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, filters, formulas, macros etc.) as well as SAS.
· Hands-on experience with any BI tool, especially Microsoft Power BI.
· Previous healthcare experience including knowledge of CIHI datasets such as DAD, NACRS, CCRS, NRS, OMHRS, HCRS).
· Knowledge CIHI/MoHLTC methodologies (HSFR, HSMR, RIW, HIG, MIS Guidelines).
· Knowledge of Ontario Health HIS and any Business Intelligence tools (WTIS, ALC, ER, SetP, iPort).
· Experience in using advanced tools such as AI, Machine Learning and Predictive/Prescriptive Analytics.
· Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
Assets:
· Master’s degree
· Certification with the Canadian College for Health Records Administrators (CCHRA)
· 3+ years of experience in using BI Solutions with special consideration to experience with Power BI.
· Demonstrable skills in DAX and Python.
· Experience with using relational database querying language - SQL and SQL Server tools as above but also SSAS and SSIS.
