As a Senior Financial Analyst, you are the key person influencing decisions for key business leaders through financial data and insights and serve as the main point of contact to provide findings and recommendations to our senior leadership team and CFO.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead semi-annual planning process for specific Store Operations workstreams (e.g., Store Sales, Margin, Inventory, Write-offs), ensuring alignment with merchandising and divisional strategic goals.
- Analyze monthly financial results against plan and prior year, translating financial variances into actionable business insights for leadership, and identifying the root causes behind store performance fluctuations.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models in Excel to project the long-term impact of operational changes on the Profit and Loss statement (P&L).
- Serve as a primary finance partner for District Managers and Store Support Center (SSC) leaders, translating complex financial data into actionable operational insights.
- Leverage historical data and analyze trends to pinpoint process efficiencies that lower operating costs and identify margin-improvement opportunities.
- Design and automate high-impact reports and dashboards using Excel, GBQ, and Tableau to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Sales, Margin, Markdowns/Write-offs, Profit etc.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting platforms, acting as the "single source of truth" for Store Operations financial metrics.
- Prepare executive-level presentations for monthly and quarterly business reviews, tailoring technical financial data for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Partner with IT and Data Analytics teams to improve data extraction methods and build more robust analytical tools for the Store Operations environment.
- Lead or support cross-functional projects (e.g., Shrink Reduction, Digital Integration) by acting as the finance lead, providing the framework to measure success and scalability and collaborate with the broader Finance team on ad-hoc financial analysis for complex business problems.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships across the field and SSC, providing the financial clarity and support necessary for leaders to make informed decisions that enhance store profitability and operational efficiency.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (2 years).
- 3 to 5 years of Financial/Accounting experience.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
- Completion of (or working towards) a professional designation (CPA, CFA) or an MBA is considered a strong asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, financial modeling).
- Experience with SAP or SQL (specifically GBQ for data extraction and analysis) is a strong asset.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of ownership over both personal professional development and the continuous improvement of team processes.
- Strong analytical skills and attentive to details.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
