This role is pivotal in continuing our journey of transforming Talent Acquisition into a proactive, sales-oriented, and data-driven function. You will lead a high-impact team focused on building ongoing talent pools, aligning recruitment strategies with business needs, and leveraging automation to streamline operations and reduce time-to-fill.
Key Responsibilities
Champion Talent Acquisition as a high-impact customer service function, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction is embedded in every interaction - from candidate engagement to hiring manager support.
Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for hourly and salaried hiring across Canada.
Act as a strategic liaison to align expectations and workflows across HR and business functions, reducing ambiguity and continuing to enhance recruitment efficiencies.
Build talent strategies and pipelines across key position levels and functions.
Strengthen internal mobility and screening processes to proactively identify and engage internal talent for open roles.
Champion AI adoption to automate administrative tasks and accelerate candidate matching.
Implement and drive proactive sourcing strategies that treat Talent Acquisition as a lead-generation and relationship-building function.
Collaborate with cross-border Talent Acquisition teams and functional leaders to ensure consistency and innovation.
Oversee the Contractor Depot (CWPO) program and contingent labour strategy.
Influence recruitment technology decisions (ATS, CRM, AI tools) to support strategic goals.
Monitor and improve key metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate experience and expand measures to include pipeline health, conversion rates and stakeholder satisfaction.
Strong partnership with employment branding to continue to enhance candidate engagement.
Coach and mentor team members to foster growth in sourcing, stakeholder management, and selling Home Depot to top talent.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven success in proactive talent acquisition and long-term pipeline development.
Strong understanding of AI and CRM tools for candidate engagement.
Experience leading diverse recruiting teams (corporate, retail, contingent).
Strategic mindset with the ability to forecast talent needs and align sourcing efforts.
Comfortable influencing tech stack decisions and managing vendor relationships.
