The Key Account Manager drives high-volume heavy machinery sales by securing large commercial fleet accounts. This role blends aggressive business development with strategic relationship management, focusing on high-value contractors, municipalities, and rental operations across the GTA.

The Key Account Manager drives high-volume heavy machinery sales by securing large commercial fleet accounts. This role blends aggressive business development with strategic relationship management, focusing on high-value contractors, municipalities, and rental operations across the GTA.

Business Development & Sales Pipeline

  • Hunt & Prospect: Generate new revenue, networking, and targeting large-scale construction firms and civil contractors, etc.;
  • Manage Key Accounts: Build and nurture long-term partnerships with existing enterprise clients, to secure repeat business, contract renewals, and referrals;
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an active, robust sales pipeline and record all customer touchpoints, leads, and forecasting in the company's CRM.

Product Expertise & Deal Structuring

  • Equipment Knowledge: Maintain an expert-level understanding of CASE construction equipment specs, features, and benefits (e.g., excavators, backhoes, wheel loaders);
  • Consultative Selling: Analyze client projects to recommend the right equipment and evaluate complex financial deals, including lease vs. loan structures;
  • Valuations: Assess the value of used machinery and heavy equipment for trade-in purposes to finalize new equipment purchases.

Account & Territory Management

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute tailored, region-specific business development plans to increase market share and meet quarterly/annual revenue targets;
  • Client Advocacy: Act as the primary liaison between your clients and internal departments (e.g., service, parts, finance) to resolve issues and ensure maximum uptime for client fleets;
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on local infrastructure trends, industry regulations, and competitor pricing.
Profile
  • Experience: 3 years or more of proven B2B outside sales experience in the heavy equipment, construction, or industrial rental industries;
  • Knowledge of heavy machinery; prior experience with the CASE equipment lineup is a distinct advantage;
  • Strong capability in structuring complex financial deals, leasing agreements, and contract negotiations;
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with existing networks of contractors, developers, or municipal contacts;
  • Valid provincial driver’s license;
  • English/French bilingualism to deal with English/French speaking customers;
  • Business or accounting vocational diploma/degree or equivalent combination of experience and training;
  • Financial and data reporting.
