We are looking for an electrical and automation technician to join our multidisciplinary team. Under the supervision of engineers, the successful candidate will help create electrical drawings, assemble prototypes, and test and troubleshoot electrical panels and control systems.

This position is ideal for a versatile, methodical, and hands-on individual who wishes to play an active role in the development of technological products, both on the computer and in the workshop.

Responsibilities
  • Create and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical, under the supervision of engineers;
  • Prepare wiring diagrams, parts lists, and other documents required for manufacturing;
  • Participate in the assembly, wiring, and modification of electrical panels, prototypes, and test setups;
  • Perform inspections, continuity checks, and functional tests;
  • Participate in testing and troubleshooting electrical panels and control systems;
  • Assist in diagnosing electrical, instrumentation, communication, and automation issues;
  • Provide technical support both in-house and remotely during commissioning or on-site interventions;
  • Occasionally troubleshoot or make minor improvements to Siemens PLC programs using TIA Portal;
  • Document test results, modifications made, and issues encountered;
  • Contribute to the improvement of assembly methods, procedures, test plans, and technical documentation;
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and commissioning teams.
Requirements
  • College diploma (DEC) in industrial electronics technology, electrodynamics, automation and control, or equivalent training;
  • Knowledge of industrial control circuits and low-voltage electrical systems up to 600 V;
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical data sheets;
  • Practical skills in assembly, wiring, instrumentation, testing, and troubleshooting;
  • Proficiency with electrical measuring instruments;
  • Ability to work independently while following engineers’ instructions;
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to problem-solving;
  • Good communication skills in French; working knowledge of technical English.
Assets
  • Experience in manufacturing or troubleshooting control panels;
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal;
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical;
  • Experience with variable frequency drives, sensors, instruments, and safety systems;
  • Experience in a prototype development or custom product development environment.
