Coquitlam Ridge Constructors, a specialized division for bridge-related projects within the BA Blacktop Group of Companies is seeking an energetic and proactive Crane Operator to join our composite bridge-building team.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate the Kenworth tractor with 22‑Ton Manitex Crane (2281T) and 30 ft trailer.
  • Safely negotiate steep and uneven terrain in active construction environments.
  • Assemble and use heavy rigging for lifting operations.
  • Perform routine crane maintenance and coordinate with the Equipment Department to maximize uptime.
  • Maintain equipment in clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Proactively coordinate internal crane usage/allocation schedule.
  • Travel to remote worksites, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Work occasional night shifts and weekends as required by project schedules.
  • Train on related equipment as needed.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • BC Class 1 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Endorsement.
  • BC Crane Safety Certification – Stiff Boom up to 40 Tonnes.
  • Ability to climb on and off the truck multiple times per hour.
  • Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and travel to remote locations, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Ability to join and remain in good standing with the IUOE Union.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience operating:

  • Kenworth tractor with 22 Ton Manitex Crane (2281T) or similar
  • 30 ft trailer or similar

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ON THE ROLE

Pay: IUOE Group 7 base wage of $40.93/hr + 8% HP

Location: Projects across the Fraser Valley Area
