Summary of Duties: This position is an Application Administrator within Information Services (IS) at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Information Services is a diverse team that supports a large, complex hospital environment on a variety of platforms. Our environment is fast paced, exiting and above all, fun!  The primary responsibility of the Application Administrator is as a project leader and application administrator for Sunnybrook’s Nurse Call System (NC) and Real Time Locating System (RTLS). This role includes the delivery, configuration and maintenance for these important systems that support clinical care across the Hospital. This position requires contact with clinicians, managers, project teams, system administrators, technical services and other IS staff.   Job Duties and Responsibilities:   • Design, program, service, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and inspect RTLS and nurse call systems • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with the network electronic systems and software, utilize as-built drawings and documentation where available to correct deficiencies and repair systems without supervision • Provide onsite validation and testing of RTLS and nurse call systems • Ensure customer requests, requirements and status are followed up on time and in a professional way • Perform all assigned preventative maintenance, repair and emergency service calls • Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with vendors, departments, clinical users and other members of the Information Services team  • Effectively communicate and maintain project status with management, clinical users and other stakeholders as required  • Contribute to maintenance of policies and processes related to NC and RTLS functions • Provide support to user teams for the RTLS and NC systems, and ensure stakeholder responsibilities are understood and completed (e.g. battery management, tag management, badge management, associating tags/badges within the system)  • Identify and document system inter-dependencies and workflows  • Ad hoc analysis, design, development, QA, implementation and support as required   Qualifications/Skills: • Degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent job-related knowledge and experience • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or progression towards PMP is an asset • Minimum 3 years of related experience in in RTLS and nurse call systems, experience in the healthcare industry is preferred • System integration and technical troubleshooting skills  • Technical writing skills to support documentation of problem resolution / solution improvement • Experience with vendor and team relations with excellent presentation, communication and change management  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks, projects with tight timeframes, strict budgets and diverse stakeholder groups effectively • Excellent analytical and resolution skills and ability to work effectively with technical & business users • Proven ability to understand business requirements and convert them to functional specifications • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently • Experience with MS Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visi0
