Registered Technologist, Ultrasound - Medical Imaging - Regular part-time 2023-4661

Summary of Duties Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including fetal echocardiography, neonatal echocardiography, pediatric and obstetrical ultrasound Perform fetal and neonatal ultrasound imaging procedures in WBUS department, including call shifts evenings and weekends as needed. Performs and troubleshoots required care and maintenance of ultrasound and medical imaging equipment as required to ensure they are performing in an effective manner. Responsible for care of patients within the department. Collects, records, and verifies patient history and information. Obtains informed consent when required. Prepare and maintains adequate written and electronic reports to document all procedures and test results according to departmental policy and procedures. Collaborates and participates in teaching, research, educational, safety, and quality improvement programs.   Qualifications/Skills Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or recognized equivalent Registration as Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with CMRITO mandatory Certification in OBGYN preferred Current BCLS certification Ability to work on call rotation Recent related ultrasound technologist experience required and cardiac and/or fetal ECHO experience preferred Fetal and/or Pediatric ECHO certification with transition to dual certification within 2 years of employment Excellent organizational skills; able to organize and prioritize work. Proven time management skills Demonstrated ability to foster an environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning relationships Strong verbal & written communication skills Demonstrate initiative and comfort with decision making, problem recognition and problem solving skills.
