Summary of Duties Responsible for care of patients within the department.  Collects records and verifies patient history and information.  Obtains informed consent when required Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures in the Breast Imaging department in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards and departmental procedures. Routine screening and diagnostic mammography and radiologist supervised breast ultrasound Performs imaged guided procedures Performs quality control, quality assurance for Mammography Accreditation Program Maintains adequate records and documentation according to departmental policy and procedures   Performs required care and maintenance of equipment as required. Assists radiology residents and fellows within the Breast Imaging division Collaborates and participates in Imaging research as directed   Qualifications/Skills CAMRT and CMRITO Registration Mammography I, Mammography II Courses, Specialty certification in Breast Imaging preferred Recent related technologist experience in breast imaging required Recent related breast ultrasound experience required Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, and also at times independently Demonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making
