Description
Summary of Duties
RPNs are responsible for the total care of a group of residents within a Primary Nursing care delivery model within their scope of practice. The RPN supports the philosophy of Person Centred Care concept and principles and the Mission and Values of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The RPN works closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications/Skills
-
Current Ontario College of Nurses Registration
-
Current B.C.L.S
-
Diploma RPN or equivalent.
-
Demonstrated commitment to patient centre care approach and principles
-
Experience in Long Term Care required
-
Recent nursing experience in gerontology
-
Psychogeriatric experience a definite asset
-
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-
Experience with primary nursing an asset
-
Strong assessment skills
-
Ability to work effectively as a team player
