Radiation Therapy Supervisor - Radiation Therapy - Regular Full-Time - 2026-16042

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager and working in collaboration with the Professional Leader, Supervisors coordinate and evaluate clinical and operational activities within the Radiation Therapy Department. Their main goal is to create a supportive environment for all staff, patients, & visitors through appropriate staffing levels, maintenance of efficient clinical workflows, and enhanced communication and collaboration. Responsbilities include but are not limited to: managing workload, supervising and evaluating staff, supporting complex clinical decision making and administering policy.

Summary of Duties:
•    Supervise, coordinate and evaluate clinical and staff activities to ensure an efficient, effective, safe and high-quality level of operation
•    Monitor and evaluate clinic processes while tracking trends to improve efficiency
•    Assess and approve staffing assignments, time off and vacations etc.
•    Complete and document employee performance apraisals, developing goals and objectives collaboratively
•    Act as a resource for complex cases, challenging treatments and implementation of new technologies or techniques
•    Support staff education and professional development to enhance knowledge/skills and lifelong learning 
•    Participate in recruitment, hiring processes and retention activities
•    Investigate and resolve complaints related to patient, visitor or staff interactions


Qualifications/Skills
•    Successful completion of a baccalaureate from an accredited radiation therapy program
•    Registered and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience in Radiation Therapy
•    Completion of Masters Degree and previous supervisory or leadership experience are considered assets
•    Possess, or in process of completing supervisory or management training
•    Strong knowledge base of disease processes, radiation treatment techniques, capabilities of radiation therapy technologies and use of accessory equipment and immobilization devices
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced environement 
•    Proven success in building and sustaining positive, collaborative interprofessional relationships
•    Experience in performance measurement, quality improvement and program evaluation
•    Effective coaching and mentoring abilities to motivate and develop staff
•    Experience with effective change management
•    Current CPR certificate is required.
