Patient Administrative Associate - Holland Centre 3 East - Casual 2023-222995

We currently have a Casual opportunity for a Patient Administrative Associate in the 3 East Nursing Unit at our Bayview Campus. Hours of Work: Weekdays & Alternating Weekends: Days, Evenings, 8 hrs; As per schedule Statuary Holidays are required. Summary of Duties Responsible for providing administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the nursing units by: Assisting in coordinating nursing unit activities; Coordinating patient admission/discharge/transfer; Liaising with both internal and external customers; Responding to telephone and reception inquiries for both internal and external customers; Assumes other responsibilities and duties as required Qualifications/Skills Successful completion of secondary school required Post-secondary business/secretarial courses; Successful completion of SHSC PAA training Computer/typing skills, including Windows and MS Word, are required; Keyboarding at 40 wpm or 106 kpm Minimum two years experience in a busy Nursing Unit, preferably in a hospital/health care environment; Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and diplomacy while providing excellent customer service; People person with strong verbal & written communication skills and customer-focused with attention to detail; Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals; Excellent organizational skills.
