Dietary Aide - Patient Food Services

Summary of Duties: The Dietary Aide will be responsible for but not limited to: Preparation and assembly of patient meal trays Dishwashing of patient meal trays, pots & pans, food service wares & equipment Supporting Food Services quality improvement initiatives Communicating with Supervisor regarding discrepancies   Qualifications/Skills: One year of practical experience in food service environment – required Food Handlers Certification (Public Health) – required WHMIS training – required Demonstrate reliable work attendance record – required Service and detail oriented Able to stand, walk and bend without restrictions Able to lift floor to waist up to 20lbs Able to push/ pull food service equipment, smallwares up to 30lbs Able to read, write and speak English Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills Requiring minimal supervision Follow established standards for food handling & preparation Maintain established sanitation and safety standards in the care and cleaning of food service dishes and equipment Follow all new and existing department policies and procedures Ability to work effectively in a strong team environment
