Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior ETL Developer to join our Decision Support and Business Intelligence team. In this entry-to-intermediate level role, you will assist in the development and maintenance of data pipelines and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. You will work under the guidance of senior developers to transform healthcare data into actionable insights that improve patient care and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
•    Assist in building and maintaining reliable ETL processes to support the enterprise data warehouse and BI reporting.
•    Participate in the investigation of new data sources and document data specifications to support data acquisition.
•    Write and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, SSIS solutions, and basic database structures to support business rules.
•    Perform testing and validation of data models and maps to ensure the accuracy and integrity of hospital reporting.
•    Work closely with Decision Support analysts and data scientists to integrate analytical models and metrics into operational and strategic dashboards.
•    Develop and automate recurring reports and dashboards for clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders.
•    Help identify and resolve data quality or integration issues in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
•    0–2 years of experience in data integration, SQL development, or BI (internship or co-op experience in a data-centric role is highly valued).
•    Solid understanding of relational database concepts and basic ETL principles. Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL) is required. Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory) or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a strong asset.
•    Interest in or basic familiarity with healthcare data (e.g., DAD, NACRS) is preferred but not required.
•    Experience with scripting or statistical programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS.
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•    Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
•    Eagerness to learn new technologies and healthcare data methodologies.
•    Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and follow established coding standards.
